Obituary of Marlene A. Erickson

ERICKSON , MARLENE A. PHILLIPS Age 78 of Elmira Heights , NY passed away on Tuesday June 10 , 2014. Marlene was born July 14 , 1935 in Scranton , PA the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Mary E. Phillips . She married her husband , Robert W. Erickson , on May 2 , 1959 and he pre-deceased her on November 17 , 2013 after 54 years of marriage. Marlene loved the time she spent with her family , friends , and her canine friend Buddy. Mrs. Erickson is survived by her sons : Robert P Erickson of Elmira Heights , NY and Richard J. Erickson of Elmira , NY ; grandson : Eric D. Erickson of Elmira , NY ; brother and sister-in-law : Joseph T. & Marylou Phillips of Vernon , NJ ; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law : Lorraine Donald of Horseheads , NY , Joan & Steve Platko of Stonington , CT , Bill & Alice Erickson of Elmira , NY, and Gary & Carol Erickson of Big Flats , NY ; several nieces , nephews , cousins , and a host of caring friends . At Marlene's request there will be no prior calling hours . Marlene will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Robert in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads , NY where Gravesite Committal Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
